The DCL-Ex05 explosion-proof electric actuator supports a turning angle of up to 340°. It is designed for use in environments containing explosive gases such as ethylene and ethanol. Each housing cover features a cylindrical stop-type joint surface that complies with UL flameproof gap and length standards.

The machining accuracy of the flameproof surface is critical to ensuring the actuator’s explosion protection rating. Therefore, the tolerance range must be tighter than UL standard requirements. Every explosion-proof housing and cover supplied to DCL undergoes strict testing and inspection before assembly.

DCL actuators are equipped with self-designed, fully enclosed, non-ventilated motors that deliver high starting torque. Given the actuator’s compact design, motor temperature rise must be carefully controlled during heavy-duty operation to ensure that the outer shell temperature remains below 135°C (300.6°F).
